5. Cruciferous Vegetables
The family of these vegetables includes:
> Broccoli
> Kale
> Cabbage
> Cauliflower
> Sprouts
> Turnip
> Watercress
> Radish
These vegetables fight against toxins and cancer. Also, broccoli and kale are known as superfoods too. Broccoli contains sulforaphane which impairs and prevents cartilage destruction, as well as protecting the skin from sun damage. Cruciferous vegetables also are a great source of folate, calcium, vitamin A, and C. These vegetables protect against loss of cognitive function, especially memory loss. Cruciferous vegetables also support bone health, help in age-related eye issues, and reduce the chances of cancer.
