Strawberry Cinnamon Pie
Ingredients
- 1 small pastry shell
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, thinly-sliced
- ½ cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 2 tsp sugar
- ½ tbsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- A pinch of salt
- 2 tsp low-fat cream (optional)

How to prepare
This is one of the healthiest strawberry pie recipes you can make. Line the pastry shell with foil and bake for 5 minutes at 450 degrees.
In a pan, add chopped strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, salt, ¼ tsp cinnamon and cornstarch. Cook until the mixture becomes viscous. When done, put it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Now, arrange sliced strawberries in the pastry shell. Pour the cool strawberry mixture on top of the shell, covering it entirely. Put the pastry shell in the refrigerator until it sets. Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon on top before serving. Add cream if you prefer.
