Crab and Avocado Sushi Bowl
Ingredients
- ½ cup brown or sushi rice
- 2 oz crabmeat, shredded
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- ¼ avocado, chopped
- 1 small cucumber, diced
- 1 small carrot
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 nori sheet, shredded
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- ½ tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp black sesame seeds
- Salt, to taste
(Serves 2)
Add 1 ½ cup water in the rice and simmer until done. Mix sugar, salt and vinegar together over low heat and pour over rice. Mix crab, nori, ginger and vegetables together and divide into two bowls. Add rice on top. Drizzle with soy sauce and sprinkle sesame seeds. This sushi recipe usually also requires mayonnaise but to make a healthier version, you can ditch it. It is also a good sushi recipe for beginners.
