A skin toner is usually used twice a day after the skin is cleaned.

Homemade skin toners for sensitive skin
Many people complain about sensitive skin as they might be allergic to chemicals or certain fragrance used in toners. One of the effective sensitive skin care tips include toners which contain moisturizing and soothing components or toners that do not contain fragrance and chemicals.

You can also make a natural toner for sensitive skin at your home:

• Add 2 tsp of aloe vera gel in ½ a cup of cold water, add honey and wipe your face with a cotton sponge. It helps your skin glow and become soft.
• Add a tbsp of rose water to 2 tbsp of cold milk and wipe your face and neck with a cotton sponge. It helps your skin to glow and avoids any skin irritation.

Homemade natural skin toners for acne
It is believed that skin toners can help remove minor blemishes. Skin toners containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide are used for treating your acne. When you use natural toners, it helps to regulate excess oil and helps to fight bacteria.

You can also make a natural toner for acne at your home:
Take some tulsi leaves and crush them. Add ½ a cup of hot water and add 1 tbsp of aloe vera gel. Wipe your face and neck with a cotton sponge.

Cucumber water:
Cucumber water helps to cleanse your skin. Take a cup of water and dip the cucumber pieces. Pat the cucumber pieces on your face, apply it on dry patches or where you have acne breakouts.

Rosewater
Rose water is used for normal, dry or oily skin, and suits any skin type as it is light on your face. Mix half cup fresh or dry rose petals, 2 cups of filtered water and 10 drops of rose essential oil. Apply it all over your face before you go to sleep.

Lemon juice:
Lemon juice is generally suitable for oily skin types. It helps to brighten dark spots and reduce oil from your skin. Mix 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice to 1 cup filtered water and pat the mixture on your face.

Green tea:
Green tea is used for all skin types. Take a cup of green tea and apply it on your face.

Apple cider vinegar:
Apple cider vinegar is used for normal and oily skin. Mix it with water in 1:1 ratio and apply it on your face.
